Hey, y'all. I hope this journal entry finds all of my watchers doing well, or, at the very least, tolerating existence.
Most of you know that work has been really trying lately, so much so that I've been distant from DA, from commission work, and from the amazing friends that I've made here.
I'd like to take the time to apologize...and explain what's been going on because there's a lot of change in store for me...and my future on DA. So, if you're interested, keep reading--if not, that's fine; we've all got stuff to contend with and I don't wish to burden anyone with my problems.
I'm a teacher and have been for the past 10 years. My fir

Living abroad for a semester in Switzerland, I learned early on to roll with the cultural traditions, and none were more whimsical in our small Alpine town than those during the holiday season. Shoes left outside for Saint Nicholas to fill with candy, colorful advent calendars to open, and boisterous holiday parades became part of our everyday lives.
One day in December, my classmates and I hiked down from the alps after a geolog

Why Ron Bashing is Pointless
So I can understand the point of views on why people wouldn't like Ron, but they are rather stupid.
People say he is jealous, insecure, stupid, someone who would cheat on Hermione, a bad brother/son, a bad best friend.
Of course, he acts jealous fairly often, but in his position, who wouldn't be? Don't understand? Let me explain.
Firstly, he grew up in a family with SIX siblings. Each one of them had something special, and had reasons for Ron to envy them.

Why did I choose Architecture over Art by Nsio, journal
Why did I choose Architecture over Art
I used to draw a lot even when I was kid. I also played with LEGOS and created all manner or paper/cardboard things. I was very dedicated at anything I did, especially when it came to drawing. I enjoy drawing a lot.
However, I had no interest towards art. Not a bit. I've always had technical approach towards art. I just wanted to draw, not to make art.
I was decent on all school subjects, but none of them really felt my thing. I was decent in maths, but honestly speaking, I lacked the ability of apply it properly. Physics and chemistry were interesting, but definitely too complicated for me.
So when the time came to choose what I want to d

Clarifying Mary Sue
So, I realize that everyone has heard of Mary Sue characters, but the thing that bothers me is that Mary has never really been as clarified as she could be. Girls go around crying Mary Sue at every character with long pink hair, then go and create even worse Mary Sue characters in the false illusion that they're making nonMary Sue characters (or even anti-Sues) when in fact they're doing the opposite. Allow me to explain how this seems to happen.
First of all the term "Mary Sue" desperately needs to be clarified to these people, so this brings us to the very important question: What IS a

The first thing you need
to know about people is this:
we're shitty.

If you cut off our head,
we will grow two in its place.
We will divide and conquer
until there's nothing left
but tiny gaping mouths,
clacking and salivating
at the crumbs of an empire.

They tell me hurt is like
a paper cut:
quick and forgotten,
forgotten.
They're wrong.
Hurt is the first step
off a balcony,
the first gasp
in a chain reaction
screaming from the railing
to beyond the pavement.
When I finally hit the ground,
I looked up and saw my halo
dangling from the edge,
dented.
